The subject matter for my painting, and, recently, sculpture, usually comes from myths, dreams, symbols and religions of different kinds.
I have studied the art of prehistoric and other cultures, and am captivated by early medieval art.
How can one incorporate the spirit of this kind of art into modern-day consciousness? I am also interested in the forms and texture of the natural world, and our place as human-beings in this pattern.
I have been a member of the Twenty Group for many years, and have exhibited around East Anglia and in London. My book of poems and woodcuts “The Return of Inanna” was published by the King of Hearts.
